- By the age of 29, Naomi Uemura had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn and in 1970 became the first Japanese mountaineer to summit Mount Everest. Just three months later, he reached the top of Denali in Alaska (then known as Mount McKinley) and thus became the first adventurer in the world to reach the tallest peaks on five continents.
- The detailed design on the dial of this watch is inspired by Uemura’s ascent of Europe’s highest peak, Mont Blanc.
- The watch is accompanied by an exclusive box inscribed with a quote from Naomi Uemura himself: “When one dream is realized, other dreams will follow.”
