In 1923, Japan was hit by the Great Kantō Earthquake, a devastation which meant that Kintaro Hattori had to rebuild his business from scratch. Shortly after, in 1924, K. Hattori and Co released the first ever Seiko branded watch.
This commemorative Presage timepiece showcases classic design features from its original inspiration 100 years ago. This includes the same historic logo and the same intricately shaped hands.
The calf leather strap is ethically sourced from Japan's LWG-certified tanners.
Presage watch is made in Seiko's own facilities in Japan, offering high quality and value.
This enamel dial was manufactured by firing at high temperature. By the melting process, there may be little dimples, tiny dots and rough surface on the dial which is a unique feature of genuine enamel dial.
Powered by the in-house 6R5H mechanical calibre accurate to +25/-15 seconds per day, with a three-day power reserve.
