This watch is inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-Type. This blue dialled chronograph has brushed nickel sub-dials and a Tachymeter dial ring. The Jaguar D-TYPE has a large exhibition sapphire case-back which shows the beautifully finished BE-50AE movement and the intricate Jaguar steering wheel inspired rotor. The stunning design of the watch crown embodies the original Dunlop tyre thread with the heritage Jaguar logo in enamel on its end.

Bremonts collaborations with Jaguar, dates back to 2014. Due to the D-Type being classified as a 300bhp car, the new timepiece is limited to only 300 pieces. Ian Callum, Design Director for Jaguar and British design icon, remarks, “The Bremont D-Type chronograph is inspired by one of the most dramatic and beautiful sports cars in history – a sports car which is a true embodiment of Jaguar’s racing heritage. As exciting today as it was in the 1950s, its story continues to be told and this iconic car deserves a timepiece to match. The Limited Edition perfectly captures the D-Type’s mechanical beauty and subtly nods to the cars’ performance – a true driver’s companion”. Each leather packaging is signed by Ian Callum himself.

I think that the design and colour scheme of this watch is a stunning way to embody an iconic cars presence, which it does so well. I love the brushed nickel look as it brings to life a smooth, non-shine look which I think is a unique touch to a watch. I really enjoy the idea of matching watches to cars, as they are both made with such intricacy and love.
